Smilte Binkyte

Keep your distance: Silver, peridot stones

Glostoma Katė, kuprą kelia. (The more you stroke the cat's tail, the more he raises his back.) Lithuanian proverb

"Glostoma Katė, kuprą kelia" is a Lithuanian proverb that describes how too much affection can repel some people away. I chose this proverb as sometimes I can somewhat relate to it. My response to this proverb was very direct as I wanted to get the point across clearly. I decided on making three cat rings for this collection. We have one double ring showing a full bodied cat, and two other rings that are opposite each other (annoyed and calm): these two rings represent the feelings of the proverb.
