Binary Numbers: From Patterns to Pixels

Classroom

Discover the language of computers in this fun and interactive Maths Week workshop. Students will learn how binary code uses just 0s and 1s to create letters, words and messages, before translating their own names into binary and creating coded designs. Linking traditional methods of communication and pattern-making with modern digital technology, this workshop shows how mathematics underpins the devices we use every day.
