Experience traditional Irish buttermaking with Museum educator Fiona Deacy and have a turn at turning the churn handle. Find out more about the history and traditions of buttermaking through a hands‑on demonstration and talk, learn traditional techniques, and explore Ireland’s rich food heritage in a fun, family‑friendly setting.

Buttermaking demonstrations will be held in the Courtyard Room opposite the Synge & Byrne café.
Sessions begin at: 11am, 11.45pm, 2pm, 2.45pm, 3.30pm
Each demonstration will be 30 minutes in duration.
