Orienteering point in the grounds of Turlough Park

As part of World Orienteering Week 2026, join us for an exciting, free, family friendly open day at the National Museum of Ireland - Turlough Park, Castlebar.

Learn about map reading and navigation skills by completing a new and challenging orienteering course around the grounds of the Museum - suitable for all ages and all fitness levels.

Drop in at any time between 1pm and 4pm and speak with orienteering experts who will provide all of the information and resources you need to try this fun activity to celebrate World Orienteering Week.

This is a family friendly event, in association with ATU Castlebar campus and Mayo Sports Partnership.

No booking required.

As this is an outdoor event, please wear suitable footwear and clothing.
