Natural History specimens offer visitors a unique glimpse into the intricate and often surprising world of bees while folklife material reflects on the history of beekeeping in Ireland.
The exhibition features examples of every bee species found in Ireland, alongside bees and other insects from around the world. Learn about the differences between honeybees, bumblebees, and the astonishing variety of solitary bees that play a crucial role in our ecosystems.

Visitors can also watch Irish honeybees flying in and out of active rooftop hives from the glass apex viewing area that looks out to the rooftop heather garden. These hives are tended by local beekeepers.
