Slow Looking Tour - Revolutionary Women: Representations through Soldiers and Chiefs

Join us for a reflective and slow-looking tour of the Soldiers and Chiefs - The Irish at War at Home and Abroad from 1550 to the present day exhibition, where one of our expert guides will introduced some of the women involved in conflicts in Ireland, including the 1803 rebellion, 1916 Rebellion, the War of Independence and Irish Civil War, and will explore how these events affected both those who fought and also the civilians who lived through them.

15:30 Slow Looking Tour - Revolutionary Women: Representations through Soldiers and Chiefs
This slow looking tour will take a handful of artefacts on display from the Museum’s collection and take the time to pause, look closely and reflect on the artefacts. It is a gentle-paced and conversational tour that invites attendees to slow down from the hustle and bustle of life to enjoy the Museum in a mindful and relaxed way.
Tours will begin in Reception at Collins Barracks. Booking is not required. However, places are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must be supervised at all times while on the premises.
