Dublin by Dusk is a new city-wide initiative seeking to provide people in the capital with a range of alternative night-time activities on the last Thursday of every month. At Collins Barracks visitors can experience a range of events, workshops, talks and tours. Attend A Fair Exchange writing workshops or Crafted Encounters craft events.

What You’ll Experience

• Drop-in writing workshops - Poet Hazel Hogan facilitates a series of free, drop-in writing workshops. Learn more about A Fair Exchange workshops here.
• Local artist performances - Local artists from Dublin 7 and 8 reflect on the collections, histories, and spaces and deliver a free performance showcasing their creative responses.  
• Local community group engagement - Community groups from Dublin 7 and 8 are invited to engage with a variety of artists, creative practices, and craft sessions for free. Devised in collaboration with Smart D8, an urban testbed with the purpose of investigating how smart technology can be used to improve citizens’ health and well-being in Dublin 8.
• Craft or experiential workshops - A regular series of thoughtfully designed craft or experiential workshops inspired by the richness of our collections. Each session invites attendees to slow down, create something meaningful with their own hands, and experience the museum often in a rare after-hours setting.
