What is Wider Than Pictures?
Wider Than Pictures is a summer outdoor concert series held at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, Dublin 7. This is the fifth year of Wider Than Pictures.
Organised by Singular Artists, this unique series promises unforgettable performances in a venue rich in cultural significance. Don't miss out on the chance to immerse yourself in the magic of live music in an iconic setting!
The 2026 programme features performances by Amyl and the Sniffers with (with MANNEQUIN PUSSY and SPIDER) (Tuesday, 25 August & Wednesday, 26 August); Faye Webster with (SPRINTS + Amie Blu) (Thursday, 27th August), Berlioz with Sofia Kourtesis (Full live band) and Ricky Chong (DJ) (Friday, 28 August); Mac DeMarco + (Tex Crick) (Saturday, 29 August), and Super Furry Animals (+ BAXTER DURY) With Really Good Time (Sunday, 30 August).

VISITOR INFORMATION TO THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF IRELAND:
The National Museum of Ireland remains open during the Wider Than Pictures concert series, inviting visitors to enrich their cultural experience with a range of engaging exhibitions. Highlights include Harry Clarke’s-Stained Glass, showcasing six exquisite panels from one of Ireland’s most celebrated artists; The Changing Ireland Galleries, which provide unprecedented public access to our 20th and 21st century history collections; and the newly opened Dead Zoo Lab, a dynamic space reimagining natural history for modern audiences. The Museum also offers a full programme of guided tours and family-friendly trails, ensuring an engaging visit for all ages. Visitors can also enjoy great coffee and food at the Synge & Byrne café, located on-site.

Museum Access:
The Collins Barracks public car park will be closed to the public from Friday, 21 August - Wednesday, 2 September. Public pedestrians will have walking access through all gates from 15 minutes before and during normal museum opening hours.
Public Parking:
There will be no public parking available at our Collins Barracks site from Friday, 21 August - Wednesday, 2 September inclusive (except for disabled parking - see below).
Accessible Parking:
There will be limited accessible parking available on site for blue badge holders during museum opening hours. Please liaise with the steward at the gate when you arrive.
