Two fools: Silver, copper

We are fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance.

This proverb originates from a Japanese phrase, so I decided to incorporate Japanese culture into my piece. The proverb to me means that we may as well be who we are, regardless of those watching and and that everyone is a "fool" anyway. I chose the image of two foxes dancing with each other because they are prominent in both Irish and Japanese folklore (the kitsune in Japanese culture and sionnach/ madra rua in Irish). Another reason I chose foxes is because the fox is seen as a very playful animal and I thought two foxes would have a good swirling shape to dance with one another.
