Unfolded Truth: Silver, blackened copper, freshwater pearl

Слово — не горобець, вилетить — не спіймаєш. (A word is not a sparrow - once it flies away you cannot catch it.) Ukrainian proverb

"A word is not a sparrow - once it flies away you won't catch it" is a Ukrainian proverb that speaks about the importance of being careful with your words, because once spoken, they cannot be taken back. I created a work that symbolises the idea of freedom and, at the same time, restrained emotions before they take over - a copper mask and a dramatic silver eagle with its wings spread wide, clutching a pearl in its talons. The piece is complemented by a silver 'bird shaped' ring.
