Summer Provision Onsite Guided Tours
To support the Department of Education and Youth’s Summer Programme 2026 - ‘Building Confidence and Connections’ we have guided tours available for Primary school groups.
 
Summer Provision Guided Tours at a glance
Level: 3^rd - 6^th class primary
Group size maximum: 30 including leaders per tour
Availability: June 30^th 10:00am & 11:30am, July 1^st 10:00am & 11:30am
Primary School Tour Options: Prehistoric Ireland, The Vikings in Ireland

Self-Guided Visits
If you would prefer you can organise a Self-Guided Visit to the National Museum – Kildare Street to explore the archaeological collections. Plan and enjoy your visit your way and discover more about Ireland’s archaeology from the Prehistoric to the Medieval Period.

An Activity Sheet for use during your self-guided visit can be booked in advance and are relevant to our different exhibitions. We also have a host of online resources that can be used to support your learning schemes in the classroom pre and post visit. Learning Resources and Activity Sheets
