This tour offers a human-centred perspective on the First World War, focusing on the diverse individuals whose lives were shaped by its global reach. Far beyond the battlefield, the war touched nurses, doctors, prisoners of war, and ordinary soldiers—each with their own story of resilience, sacrifice, and survival.

Through personal accounts, historical artefacts, and interpretive displays, visitors will gain insight into the all-encompassing nature of the conflict and its lasting impact on those who lived through it. The tour invites reflection on the complexity of war and the shared humanity of those caught in its path.
